Aegean Divers - Diving Holidays in Greece

Our diving centre is situated on the island of Santorini, one of the most beautiful islands of Greece and maybe in the world. We offer diving courses from various internationally recognised diving organisations, i.e. SSI, PADI and ANDI as well as professionally organised boat dive trips suitable for all level of certified divers. "Aegean Divers" welcome you to this wonderful island and look forward to introducing you to a side of Santorini that many visitors never see.

The Aegean Divers diving centre is located in the are of Agia Irini-Pirgos. You will find our diving centre opposite the Mexican restaurant 'Zorbas', next to the bakery. Our location is very central as we are on the main road between the port of Athinios and Fira, the capital of the island.

All towns and villages of Santorini offer an abundance of restaurants and tavernas specialising in fish, where you can enjoy good food and also taste the local cuisine specialities along with Santorinian wine. There is good public transportation system connecting Fira and Oia with other villages and beaches around Santorini.

We visit at least 15 different diving sites all around the island with the majority situated in the west and south-west part of the island as well in the volcano area, where we do amazing wall dives. We own a type ‘Pikilos’ 9-meter speed boat powered by a 300HP internal diesel engine, with capacity for 12 divers and their equipment and sun shade for providing protection and making the journey to the diving sites most comfortable and enjoyable.

We meet at 08:45-09:00 to prepare the diving equipment and then we go to the marina of Vlihada where we moor our boat. We set off at around 10:30 and we are back to the diving centre at around 14:30-15:00 to wash the diving gear.

If required, we can arrange your transfers at no extra cost. If you stay in Fira and Imerovigli we can pick you up from our meeting point outside Kamari Tours, near the central bus station in Fira, at around 09:45. If you stay elsewhere, we can come and pick you up at a prearranged time. It is advisable to visit the diving centre the day before so that all the necessary diving forms have been filled in and the diving equipment has been checked and arranged. However, if this is not convenient for you, just contact us and we will make an arrangement that suits you better. If you have your own car, there is plenty of parking space in front of and at the side of the diving centre, while the bus stop is just accross the road.

On our way to the diving sites you can admire some of the incredible geological phenomena of Santorini – the red beach right next to the white one, black vertical rocks next to contrasting white, rocks as turquoise as a tropical sea and also the profile of the "Indian Chief" visibly shaped on a rock in the area of Akrotiri.

Within our diving centre we also operate a well organised and equipped diving shop stocking a selection of diving equipment from leading diving brands, sailing footwear and clothing, watches and diving computers made by TUSA, WATERPROOF, SEAC-SUB, SUUNTO, MARINE POOL, NAUTICA, CITIZEN and MARES. We also sell swimwear and beach accessories.

Our diving centre is certified by SSI, PADI and ANDI, is stocked with new diving equipment and has a 400 l/min air compressor for air, NITROX and TRIMIX. There is also a teaching area with laptop and projector and separate toilet facilities for men and women. We are inspected annually by BUREAU VERITAS and we have always been granted a certification of quality according to the European Standards EN14467 for the service we provide and the quality of air and the diving equipment we use.
